Congratulations! It looks like my second Breitling, a SuperOcean that I purchased in 1997. It was on my wrist every day for over 10 years, and eventually the PRO I bracelet had to be replaced. I traded that watch last year, when I got an AS Blacksteel, but now that I see the pic you posted, I wish I had kept it. I sold the Blacksteel as well, but the SuperOcean would have meant more to me. That is such a classic! Great to see it on the original PRO bracelet as well! Hope you wear it for many years, with great pleasure! Thanks for the comments. It was actually a strange thing happening. I was out to hunt for a reward to myself. I have always been interested in wristwatches, but never felt like opening the wallet for a quality brand. Thinking, thinking on buying an Omega, but first looking for a Longines... in Kaplans, An antiques auctionist in Stockholm, I tried a Fortis big Crown... but it did not fit my wrist. I glazed around and saw a small collection of SO's and fell in love. I would not think on Breitling before: too big, a bit for the newly-rich people (you have heard them all). This was the total change - I really like my Breitling and keep checking the time, all the time. Now looking for a Navitimer... in time, in time. Preferable an oldie... Cheers P |
