Beautiful timepiece. I'm glad you didn't waste time aligning
the bezel for the photo, like some anal types insist upon. A
watch with its bezel "misaligned" shows that the watch is
doing its job and that the owner has more important things
to worry about than whether or not the bezel is perfectly set.
The bezels on my watches are all "misaligned" and I intend
keeping them that way!

 Cor I dunno..... there's always one to sew seeds of thoughts of rebellion in the minds of new and impressionable members! :banhim:

So Steve, I guess you also prefer scratches and dings on a watch over a polished and clean surface - as it shows the watch is being used? ;)

Ah, Driver, this is more like it. I have to admit, I was
feeling just a bit uncomfortable trying to be civil with
you (re: my apology concerning a mere one year discrepancy
in time...). But now, now that you've seen fit
to question my motives, my veracity, my integrity... Well, I
think it's time the truth be known.

To all forum newbies (and any veterans who feel the urge
to rebel), please keep in mind that it is not carved in steel that
bezels must be aligned for photos. Such a notion is strictly a
bias of certain moderators who are unable to break free from
the restraints of numerous childhood neuroses.

You, proud Breitling owners, are free to position your bezels
as you see fit -- the more asymmetrical the better. So show
your individuality, your refusal to cowtow to the whims of petty
dictators afraid of change. Do it now -- click that bezel to the left
and keep on clicking. :). Believe me, it'll drive Driver crazy.

Whoa there Drax my man! Cool your boots!! You realise your words are perilously close to committing high treason around these parts!

How did the someone who holds such radical views to do with (whisper it folks) asymmetrical bezels <shudder>, ever manage to make more than 200 posts before his seditious leanings truly raised their head? The screening process CLEARLY isn't working.

Forum members - I move that we introduce (with immediate effect), psychoanalytical testing for all members to weed out those with a penchant for off-kilter bezels! Anyone with slight tendencies towards asymmetry will be asked to provide a week's worth of photographic evidence of perfect bezel alignment. Persistant offenders may be required to submit their timepiece for mandatory welding of the bezel to the case in the 12 position. It's for the greater good folks.... trust me on this one..... you'll sleep easier in your beds.

And I'm NOT REMOTELY KIDDING HERE!! OK!?!?!?

Well, well, Driver, I knew the real you would finally
burst forth. Welded bezels indeed! Psychological testing!
You may revel in your power for the moment, my friend,
you may bully your minions, but I am not afraid of you.

Can you hear that noise, Driver? It's the sound of the bezel on
my Steelfish being twisted. And now the bezel -- yes, click, click,
click -- on my Skyland. And finally -- Ugh! this one's harder! -- the bezel
on my Planet Ocean clicking merrily away.

I speak to the entire Breitling Source population, now -- If you are reading this,
and if your watch has a rotating bezel, give it a little
turn. I promise you, Driver and his evil army of bezel welders will
not find out, will not hurt you. So twist, my friends, if you value
your right to choose, twist before it's too late!

No, I will never misalign my bezels intentionally.

Neither will I start wearing trousers that are 3" too short, have a tie that only reach half the way down, unmatch the color of the belt and the shoes... All in all, I want my entire appearance to fit, not just bits and pieces.

Well, well, Aleister, now we know where you stand, short
trousers and all. I had expected better from you, based on
a number of your (mistakenly  ) enlightened posts.
Driver, as we all know, is the quintessential essence of evil,
the Darth Vader of the watch world. Apparently he has seduced
you into his perverse army of Bezel Welders. It is so
terribly sad, because at one point you showed such promise,
such sensitivity to the joy of individual self-expression.

Be that as it may, you are now in the enemy's camp. And must be
treated as such. You may feel smug wearing your well
cut trousers and your perfectly lengthened tie, but this facade
cannot hide the demon of conformity that lurks within. I ask you,
after perfectly aligned bezels, what comes next? Only one color of
strap? One style of metal bracelet? One kind of clasp?

Aleister, before it's too late, I ask you to fight this demonic
force that has taken control of you. It's too late for Driver, I know,
but if you still possess a spark of free thought, fight this evil,
for the sake of your immortal soul. :(

Steve

Don't listen to him Aleister! Stay with the upright and upstanding members of the community. Don't be drawn into "Anarchy Steve's" subversive way of thinking. You had a choice........ and you made the right one..... the ONLY one in fact that any gentleman could make!

Sir, I salute you. :brit

(It's at this point that I think we should apologise to Gazruss for shamlessly hijacking his thread with all this nonsense! Oops sorry mate! )

Haha! Exactly what I was thinking when I was typing.

My better half and my workmates like to pull the piss cos I'm on here first thing in the morning checking all the posts, then at dinner time when I allow myself half an hour for a sandwich, then at five or six just before I go home! Then around now when I'm sitting at home watchin TV.

This happens most days and when it doesn't I seem to get withdrawals!

So Driver you are 100% correct with your last post! :D
