Sergio, that is a BEAUTY! Love the black on the indices and hands. It's the only white dial that really pops and has excellent legibility in my opinion. The size looks perfect, and fits your wrist well. Congrats on a GREAT piece. 8)

Don

Thanks Don, I appreciate that. It is very legible even in low light situations because of the indices being outline in glossy black paint.

I keep stopping by local ADs asking if they have one. Really like the painted GMT numbers. As much as I like the ceramic on the GMT, the sizing and spacing of the numbers just seem too cramped for me. Then again, I really like the brushed/polished bracelet combo on the GMT.

In actual fact you can remove them. A bit of heat applied to the cyclops and a scalpel slid underneath it when it's hot will remove it. I've seen it done on non-Rolex models (i.e. cheaper watches!) but I'm sure the principle is sound.

Not suggestion for one minute that defiling a Rolex like that would be a good idea : just saying that it can be done.

After asking about this same thing, a Rolex AD told me that they believed the cyclops could be removed. The first two pics of Sergio's previous post show why the cyclops bugs me, distortion it causes, interfering of a clean crystal. Otherwise I agree with Damnfoolman, nicest Rolex I've seen relative to my personal tastes.

Damn I love that thing. I'm calling dibs right now on it.

And I have no issue at all with the cyclops, personally I think it's one of those classic Rolex things, and honestly I've never even paid attention to it while checking them out.

Congrats again.

I call second dibs! :D I really think it's a gorgeous piece, and wish they would hit the AD's here in SoCal. As for the bubble, I didn't think I would like it, until I owned a Rolex. My 48 yr old eyes now need reading glasses so I like it.

GORGEOUS pics Sergio!

Thanks bud, I appreciate it. I just traded for that Jaeger Amvox last week, I was expecting to keep it for a bit and move it. I was NOT expecting to like it this much; I was totally wrong about this one. I'm shocked by how much I am enjoying it. Photos don't capture how sporty and cool it looks. Weighing in at only 3.4 ounces it's so fun to wear and surprisingly it's 2mm shorter (top-to-bottom lugs) than the new Rolex.

I just watched the video on the Amvox 2 ,and wow is it nice. I especially like the slide on the side opposite of the crown that controls the chronograph.

The vertical trigger chrono is awesome. To start/stop the chrono you actually press the crystal at 12 o'oclock, to reset the chrono you press the crystal at 6 o'cloclk. On the 9 o'clock side of the case is a lever to lock the crystal from accidentally starting/stopping the chrono. When it's in the locked position you can't start or stop the chrono. It's a really neat feature.
