Welcome back - good to see the prodigal Scot return :-)

Too much to bring you up to speed on, you'll figure it out - but there is a little more optimism about Breitling's direction after this year's Basel.

Ha cheers Roff, surely there must be a few more Scots on here now?

Yeah I'll do some digging around old posts and see whats what. I was on the mainland recently and had a look in a couple of dealers, some of the Breitlings I didn't recognise must be new models. They didn't seem to appealing to me, the ones that caught my eye were the golden oldies, Navi's, Avengers and the good old SOH. :D

Yeah, we've got our share - including some of the old guard, just none as 'prodigal' as yourself

After reading your 25,000th post recently and looking at some of the changes with Breitling, I did wonder if maybe they've started to listen to you Roff? I was half expecting that when your post-o-meter clicked over 30,000 last week you might have had a mid-term "state of the union" collection of musings on the maker of instruments for professionals. :poke:

Good to see you back Andrew!

A few of us "old timers" (and I mean that in forum-years, not actual years incidentally!) are still here as you can see. Welcome back!

Hey Andy,

What a great post.

I particularly like your reference to being lucky to own a few nice watches. But I am sure, like many of us on this forum, that you have also worked hard at whatever you do for work to enable the indulgence.

I remember looking up into the front window of my local Woolworths in Chiswick High St in the 60's thinking that maybe, one day, I might own a nice watch.

I never forget that. And each day I hit my wrist with a pretty watch I think how fortunate I am.

Peace be with you my friend.

Davey

Beautiful, Andrew. I especially love your white-face SA. I'd love to get that as my next watch, and if I ever did, I'd do exactly what you did and get both the bracelet and brown strap. They look just as great with each of those, but they're two totally different watches with them.

Cheers for the comments everyone! U never seem to be very far away Driver8 when I've 'nipped in' for a quick look every now and again, glad you're still at it, top bloke!

Davey I do feel lucky I can't help it but at the same time yes, I've worked hard since I was 14 when I got my first job on my uncle's farm until now where I've been running my own business for nearly 7 year now. The AS was bought with my first ever decent bonus in the new business venture but like you dreamed of having a nice watch from a young age. BTW you're photos are still fantastic....love them.

Cheers lads, good to be back!
