Just thought I'd contribute to this magnificent thread celebrating the superb and much lamented Steelfish.

Here are some old pictures of my Steelfish that I sold in 2007 to make way for a Super Avenger. These were taken after a rare southern UK snow storm at the end of 2006.

I was almost overwhelmed near Christmas when a customer bought a Steelfish from us over the phone on the strength of seeing my images below. However, as I explained to him, you can't take a bad picture of the Steelfish. It looks superb in all dial colours, on all straps/bracelets and from all angles.

I do honestly believe I'll add another SF to my collection one day. It is one of the few watches that I have sold (over 30 of them!) and truly miss.

This exceptional thread brings those thoughts of reprisal back to me. However, next time I think I'll go for a blue one.

Wow, great pix. Funny you mention the blue face. I have a blue SF, but often think I should get a white one. If I were ever going to have two of the same watch I think it would be a bule and white SF.

Ricardo, I actually bought my SF over the phone from Andrew Michaels! This was last June though.

Great pictures!

So what's all the fuss?

oh, this. :lingsrock:

Since trading off two lings for one I knew at some point I'd need another, and finally that time has come and this is what I picked. It compliments my black 6.75 perfectly because it's nothing like it! I almost made the mistake of getting rid of it for another big watch but now have changed my mind and the fish is here to stay. I bought the ocean racer for it as well but think I'll leave it as is.

Cheap camera but I tried to capture the dial shot that really made the watch grow on me.

Might as well add these to the mix. I no longer own this one. It was a little on the heavy side for my tastes, but reasonably wearable on a strap. May consider picking up the silver dial version at some point.

It was me :) Haven't logged in for a while, been so busy at work. Anyway, been wearing my lovely Steelfish every day since the day I got it and I feel like I like it more every day. Still on the fence about getting the Pro rubber strap, tried mine on a Bonetto Cinturini rubber number but it wasn't too comfy so I switched back to the Pro II bracelet which I absolutely love.

Here's a pic of it on the BC:

BC straps are brutal. You should give the Diver Pro rubber a try. Fits great, feels great and looks great. Best on the market IMHO. I have three and like them so much I sometimes put them on my non-Breitling watches in the summer . . . even the Hershey style. :nono:

I checked out my AD:s on my lunch break and found a blue "Hershey" mounted to a SO 44. The sales lady was kind enough to sell the strap to me so I decided to go for it even though I would have preferred the black one. It does indeed have a totally different feel to it than any other rubber strap I've handled so I really hope I'll like it in use. I'll get some pics up later on! It sure looks nice though!

I've only worn it for a couple of hours yet but I do have to say that it is exceptionally comfortable. I really love the buckle as well, because thanks to it I don't need the keeper at all. This far I'm really happy I got the blue one because it does bring something completely new lookswise and it matches the dial extremely well. Thanks for pushing me over!

Not surprised you like it, and yes, that buckle is exceptional too. There's just nothing not to like about Breitling rubber, and your 'Fish looks fantastic on it.
