Well in2deep asked for a comparison shot. So I thought I would show you guys what trading straps can be like.

Here they are

The comparison shot:

Image

As you can see the PAM is much bigger than its 44MM spec.

First off is the PAM on a Breitling tobacco brown strap and deployant.

Now the 6.75 on an excellent after market Heroic18 Hornback and pre V buckle.

As you can see the watch sits nice and flat because of the buckle.

And a quick lume shot:

Very nice comparison and beautiful shots Altair!

I think the brown croco looked very nice with the PAM, but it still felt a bit "weird". Maybe just because I know it's a Breitling strap, because I think the color goes really well with the dial.

Likewise, the black strap that the 6.75 borrowed looks really good - I'm not comfortable with that type of buckle on a Breitling but apart from that it is beautiful.

Wow, thank you. That pam looks a lot bigger than a 44mm watch. This might warrant a trip down to the AD :)

:yeahthat on all counts. The 6.75 on black croco looks just like mine (although mine is OEM).

Great shots too Altair!

I like the PAM on the brown strap. Very classic. Where did you pick up the hornback? I like the width.

I understand where you guys are coming from, but can't say I have the same phobia. I stop at using a Panerai buckle on a Breitling or vice versa. but see no problem using a Breitling -style deployant on a PAM or the wonderfull pre-V buckles on my Breitlings.

This has really opened up a new world of possibilities for me, the white dial on the 6.75 is versatile enough to allow for alot of experimentation. I know have it on a tan Mario Paci and it looks really great, a very fresh look!

If you think that is taking it a step too far, wait untill you see what I have planned next. I am getting two items in this week, and plan to go over the top with them. Mua ha ha.

I agree Driver, that strap looks quite similar to the OEM strap both in terms of style and quality, and at a fraction of the price. Not to mention the extra hardware cost that is replaced by the sewn in buckle. Although I am a firm believer in Breitling's croco strap quality, I find that Mario Paci straps offer better quality calf and Heroic18 similar quality (maybe a little less) at very attractive prices. I strongly suggest people try them out.

Look at my blacksteel, alongside my Omega PO, they are the only two watches where I do not change straps at all. the ABP Paris black croco with red stiching looks better than any solution Breitling provide, and it was the first watch that got me into non-OEM options on a Breitling.

I'll add my appreciation of the photos.

Love the Bentley - the 6.75 is going to be my next piece I think...

The black on brown combo works for me - I guess because it's more unusual.

I can understand the comments about being kinds weird to have a PAM on a BReitling strap, but the quality of the Breitling strap really works with anything - and of course makes a PAM look better

Nice pair Altair!
