Finally... but like it was meant to be... total stranger comes along the vintage boards, asks for an informal appraisal of this watch, I make a fair offer and it's all history from there... I've been waiting for this one a long time. And the hunt finally ends. Just when I thought I was done for the year, well... life is too short. 8)

The patina on this is just right. No cracks in the hands, bezel is near perfect. I love also how the 15 min register hand has that tiny triangle with lume too. It's a very nice detail. I wasn't sure which way the colors on the bezel were supposed to be (left or right) so I had to look it up. :?: Hope I got that one right. The rubber strap on which it came is not too bad at all. It's a tropic rubber which looks period correct signed "swiss made" with "Acier" on the buckle. It's actually very comfortable. I do have a black Cordovan strap with aftermarket deployant coming soon as well so I'll be switching on and off. Very beefy and big on the wrists. Absolutely enamored with this one. Big thanks to member "Joe" for making this deal happen and Roff for his blessing and advice. I end it with the obligatory wrist shot.

Thank you gentlemen!

I just noticed after two days of wearing it straight, it's running a tad slow, but probably a regulation issue. I can probably get it to run a little tighter. And another observation I just noticed is that the 15 minute register sub-dial is bigger than the other two, which I also quite like.

Nothing like bonding with your watch. I love firing up manual winds.

Never seen one like that before. Wonderful piece and, of course, congrats.

Thanks again guys... everyone knew I wanted one for the longest time. :lingsrock: Now I just need an 808 and an either an 806 or 809 and I think I'll be done with the vintage Breitlings.

Yeah right.

It never ends.
