Hi all.

Would love to see some pictures of the earlier Breitling Pens (silver ballpoint + yellow w/ super avenger style twist...)

Anyone know which 'model' and year the first one was given out?

If you have some of the rarer models, please post some pics for us less fotunate to enjoy.

Lastly - if you had to say, quality-wise, which is the best Breitling has put out?

I own 6 of the Breitling pens.... but I only have a quick and dirty picture of 3 of them at the moment -

In addition to these 3, I also have the blue version in the faux croco case from last year, and the latest orange/black version from this year, plus the yellow/"SA crown" version you mention.

In terms of which I like the most, then the three above are my favourites looks-wise, but the quality of the later one's (the blue, the orange/black, and the black and black/burgundy versions that I don't have) is definitely a little better. For example, the clip on the older versions are just folded metal (like the cheapo old-skool Rolex clasps :poke: ), while on the newer ones, they are more solid. However the newer ones are just a bit less interesting to look at. All of them are pretty cool novelties - just don't pay too much for them if you aren't getting them free from your AD.

Driver8, how do you like the one on the far right - the 'tiger-eye' one? I've had it in my sights for awhile and have yet to be able to justify the prices people have been asking for on the 'bay.

As you can see from the pictures below I have (6), with the black croc on its way. Should be here any day now actually...

Does anyone know if the black croc/blue croc have the Breitling 'B' on the end of the barrel, as the Burgundy + Chocolate version does (see very last pic below)?

Lastly, do the two earliest ones ever come up for sale (the yellow super avenger, and silver 'balloon' shaped ones)? Are they that coveted, or where they just limited in the amounts Breitling sent out? Are they on par in terms of quality w/ the latest? Pricing?
