I just wanted to say, I looked at the pictures and workmanship and think it is outstanding. I also think that is one of the most "fun" father/son projects I have seen.

Planning and doing this "project" with such superb results is what makes the individuality of each watch important. I would not worry about some of the comments from members about how much better or purer their watches are than yours.

I have an aftermarket, it took me a year and a half to work up the courage to have a highly recommended jeweler do the work, worried out outcome. I am so glad I did, so much more pleased with my watch. It is possible if someone examined my watch closely, they might be able to tell. My AD can't, and I am happy.

So be pleased and proud of your ability and results, don't listen to these naysayers that are critizing you, they did the same to mine and my pics. So now I read none of their snobby posts nor look at any of their pretentious pictures.

Come on guys - it's Christmas!!!

This site is almost three years old now and the hallmark of those three years has been the ability to offer differing opinions when asked without attitude.

I've yet to come across any snobbery and pretentiousness on here. Granted I've only been around for 2 1/2 years and 8,000 posts so I might not have found it yet

Don't read sentiments in that aren't there - as we all say frequently, we buy our watches for ourselves, not for others.

i agree, it was my post and was from like 6 months ago, i appreciate your nice kind words, but i didnt think anyone was knocking on it, if anything giving praise for the good workmanship, thanks again and everyone have themselves a happy holiday = )
