newbie here,
just wanna say what a great site this is . I am hoping to get a navitimer soon and have been researching about the different ranges of navitimer.I am a complete beginner to watches and have fallen in love with the navitimers and dont want to buy a fake by mistake. And am hoping that i can get some advice from you guys as to what to look out for when buying.
I also wanted to find out what the watch is used for except the obvious keeping time. I read somewhere that you can use the navitimer for doing maths calculations, is there any other stuff you can do with them

There really aren't any really good copies of Navi's out there. Almost all of them have a sunken date wheel. That said buy from an AD only, especially if this is your first. Worst case scenario, make sure you post pictures to us before you bid or buy.

:welcome:

Welcome to the forums!

The Navitimer has a circular slide rule around the outside that can be used for a number of different calculations. Take a look at http://www.navitimer.net and you'll learn everything you could ever want to know about the 57 years of Navitimers. One of the pages tells you all about the slide rule.
