Newbie breaking cover!

I've just ordered my first Breitling: an 09 Airwolf with a silver dial. I'm quite excited!

I hummed and harred over the Aerospace, which I found amazingly light and thin on my wrist, but in the end decided I wanted a second hand, and, well, big name watch really does need a Big Watch!

Despite being what most people would consider in the middle aged years, I've never had a watch of any consequence. For the last 6 years or so I've had a Timex Ironman which is just about on the verge of destruction, and before that a Nike runner's watch. Before that, I did without a watch - I'm not big on wearing things - I even passed on the wedding ring!

And so you should be!

Welcome aboard, and by the way it's never too late to get into watches! Hope the Airwolf is everything you want it to be.

Well thanks, guys. That's a pretty warm welcome!

I found out today that my watch will arrive at home tomorrow, just in time for it to be presented to me on Sat am - my birthday! I wasn't expected such a quick delivery by a stretch, so hats off to the AD (Banks Lyon - who had given superlative service prior to that anyway).

I will post pics, promise. I might have to re-enact the opening for the camera tho. Not sure that Mrs G66 would quite understand why I was photographing every stage of opening my present - even if I were to explain it to her!
