I'm 53, live in Ontario, Canada, just north of Toronto. Avid watch collector, mostly affordables but with the odd $1000 grail in a 50+ odd collection. I've been wanting a Breitling Aerospace ever since I saw one back in the '80's and always saw them as unobtanium. Kids are almost grown up (1 out of the house, 2 to go) and I've dived back into collecting now that cash is a little less constrained by inconvenient things like food and shelter
I am a huge ana-digi fan with a number of different brands and models, but the holy grail has always been an Aerospace. I like larger watches but with the Aerospace I actually prefer the classic 40mm versions.Late one night recently I was on eBay and had a couple in me, and saw an E65062 Repetition Minutes and in a moment of weakness, actually won the thing in the last 10 seconds on a hail mary bid. I could not believe what I got it for. After much shipping drama, I got the watch last week and it has not been off my wrist since. I keep pinching myself.
I am fairly sure this isn't my last Breitling going forward, but I am enjoying this piece immensely and am looking forward to learning more about the model and the newer Breitlings.
