Just killing time! I'm not new to watches, but new to this forum. I actually found the site while researching my next purchase. I think we all search for what we think will be 'perfect' and are all left making some compromise or another. My story for the perfect Breitling began with the purchase of a Avenger Seawolf with the Cobra Yellow dial. I didn't know the service history, so I sent it to Hanger 7 for a service. Came back looking brand new and keeping perfect time .... nothing but happiness ... right ?!? Not exaclty ... I found the 19mm height and the weight a little much. But I loved the color .... that color really popped! I had an older Omega Seamaster (electric blue) and loved the thickness ... I got the Explorer II and loved the thickness there too ... so I think I want something 10 to 13 or so mm ..... The Superocean has a similar (if not the same) color ... but I'm not a fan of the black bezel. The Avenger II GMT has the thickness, and a nice dial with the batons (the numeral one seems a little busy on that size dial) I like the GMT complication, and the Volcanic Black is pretty nice, and I like the bracelet. If the Avenger II GMT came in that Cobra Yellow color - I'd probably buy two .... 1 for each wrist! .... but I'll likely end up with the black ... compromise - compromise Anyway ... that's my story |
