Hello all,

I just purchased my first Breitling, a Transocean Chronograph Unitime. It will arrive at my house on thursday and pics will follow. Mine is the steel case, white face, and brown croc band. I chose this specific model and variant to celebrate my service as a Navigator on the HC-130 (combat rescue C-130 variant).

I have always appreciated fine watches. But until now, I had only been wearing a few more affordable watches (currently a citizen calibre 8700 and a casio pathfinder) since i had not found the perfect watch that was worth shelling out the big bucks for.

It had to be a Breitling due to the aviation connection. This particular model was chosen because the globe graphic combined with the white face reminds me of my aeronautical charts, the brown band matches the brown leather of my A-2 flight jacket that I had to earn by deploying, and the combination of precise chronograph and unitime function fits very well with my profession. I briefly considered a navitimer but i liked the look and functionality of the transocean unitime better and I have a full size MB-4 slide rule anyway.

Thanks! I want to do an aviation themed photo at some point. Use my leather flight jacket as a background, include my Ling, my MB-4 slide rule, dividers, etc... But most of my stuff is at work and i don't go back to work until monday.
