Hey everyone, Ive been registered on here a little while and ahve been taking in any and all info available about the wonderful world of Breitling. Just though I'd take the time to say hello, and show off my pieces (the chrono is BRAND new as of today) So, far I have the Rolex Datejust with a blueface, the SOH 46mm in black with the mesh band, and the new Chronomat Evo 2 tone with light brown leather band. Not bad for a 21 yr. old college student right? Work hard play harder!! ~ Chris

Not bad at all. I love the SOH and will have one soon enough. When I was your age my good buddy wore a Rolex that was a gift from his family. Did you get into Rolex from your family or do you just have it out of appreciation of them. Nice looking time pieces you have there and welcome to the forum.

Welcome aboard indeed.

Amazing how "dinky" the Rolex looks next to the Breitlings!

The rolex was a gift from my parents for my 16th bday, I purchased the SOH as my first ling' back in June and then my folks just came back from St. Maarten and surprised me with the Evo.

That's great! I hope I can do the same for my kids. That's a great collection you've got started. Enjoy the forum. 8)

On a side note, does your family (wife, husband, gf, bf etc.) have a love of timepieces as well. Like I said my folks were in the islands last week and not only did they come home with my new baby my mom ended up with a new Movado and my father got a new Tag link chronometer with diamond bezel. Not lings' but still very nice pieces especially because they are beginning to see beyond the scope of good ol' rolex. Maybe they're next purchase will be some lings' or even better I could purchase them for them!!!!

Well, it sounds like you ended up with the sweet end of the their islands trip :) . My father definately appreciates the finer things, he has several nice "things", his most recent watch is one of the Cartier Santos models.

An appreciation of the finer things in life is good as long as you do not lose your sense of value and understanding of the hard work required to get to that point. At one point in my youth, I thought the silver platter would be there for life, and then it all went away, poof, just like that  . It was a good lesson learned at the right time, because from that point forward I realized whatever I would make for myself would have to be driven by my own motivations and ambitions.

Congrats on the deans list!! It is good to realize the importance of doing your best. You are young, cde1218, take advantage of your youth and pave your own path and be true to yourself. Sounds like you are heading in that direction. Good luck and take care!!
