Hello everyone, I have been following this site for about a year now and have wanted a Breitling for about 10 years now. I have been a big fan of the Bentley models for quite some time, and since they are a bit more spendy than other models I have had to wait quite a while to justify the purchase...being a very conservative, commission-only worker didn't help either.
I was in Las Vegas a couple weekends ago for my wedding and hit a very nice streak on the craps table (very, very nice) and won enough money to purchase my favorite watch. The hotel I was staying at is an AD and had some nice Breitlings on display so I was joking with some friends that if I got lucky and won big that night I would buy my watch. Sure enough it happened!!! What a great memory to think about everytime I look down at the watch now.
I didn't buy from the hotel becasue there had been a salesman at my local AD that had showed me a lot of differnt models and spent a lot of time with me while I drooled over Breitlings from time to time while in the store. I felt that it would be best to give him the commission and keep the purchase local. So when I got back from the honeymoon (my wife is excited for me as well I should note) I ordered the watch.
I ordered the Motors "T" with the anthracite dial (although I am still curious to see how it looks in person as it was a bit difficult to tell what the anthracite looks like based off the ordering booklet). If it is not to my liking will just get the black dial, which I love too.
I guess I just wanted to test out this forum and introduce myself; it has been nice to read many of the posts and gain more knowledge about the Breitlings. I will definetely be referring people who don't understand why I would want a Breitling over a Rolex (father in law and a few older folks) to this site and have them see for themselves...as if my new watch won't do the job when they see it on my wrist.

If you've been wandering the forums for a while you already know the requirement to provide pictures when the watch arrives. :lol:

Of course; once the watch comes I will post some pics of it. Hopefully the anthracite dial is what I am expecting and don't have to send it back for the black one.

Congratulations on both happy events, my your life continue to be as fortunate! Can't wait to see the pictures of the Bentley, I think the anthracite dial will look spectacular!

I think the anthracite dial goes exceptionally well with the brushed elements of the Motors T. I'm sure you'll love it!

Gotta love any story that begins with "And, I found a pile of money". All of us, I imagine have dreamt about funding our watch obsession/addiction with "found money". I keep looking under my mattress to no avail :cry:

awesome story, glad to see that it worked out so well for you. Im actually taking my girlfriend to vegas for her birthday the last week of November, i can only hope to be so lucky!!!! However, I refuse to come back married haha!!!!
