Hi My name is Hugo, Im 30 and I come from Canada. Before I give you more informations about me you guys have to know that English is my second language! Im trying as hard as I can to avoid mistakes but dont be surprised if sometimes my sentences and writting dont look right! To make a long story short, I just want to say hello to everyone before you guys see me lurking around and asking questions here and there! I always liked watches in general since my young age watches at any prices, any models basicly any mechanical device made of a complex mechanical assembly that show time! I found it fascinating that we invented time ,invented a device that mesure and display it and we miniaturised the thing to bring it with us everywhere because it can run on its own power. A couple years ago I started to dissasemble and re-assemble watches just for fun as a hobby. The first watch I repaired worked but was not really accurate! So with practice and the right tools Ive been able to repair a broken watch my father gave me when I was young. The watch was a Timex military Sprite 1967 that had sentimental value for me. All that allowed me to learn about watches and movements and really helped me to define what is for me a real piece of art and understanding why! Years passed and I came accross a brand named Breitling. I simply fell in love with their models from the 60` 70` 80` and could not believe how they transformed a manual winding time keeping device into a calculating tool with automatic movement. Breitling watches are somewhat out of my budget but I saved some money and I think its time for me to buy my first piece. I have a long list of models that I want but I would like to add to my collection a Breitling Cosmonaute Chrono-matic 1809 automatic caliber 14! Thanks Hugo |

Thanks for the great welcome everyone! Im quite happy to see that my English typing doesn`t hurt your eyes too much that`s encouraging! Let say it was a difficult learning curve as starting to learn a new language at 28 years old is not that easy let me tell you! But Im improving throught the years slowly but surely! To change subject I found a nice cosmonaute 1809 cal.14 today, didn`t buy it yet as me and the seller are still talking price so it should be a go or no-go before the end of the week. Im sure there`s one for me out there and Im still looking around just in case so if you guys find something dont be shy to send me a message. Thanks again |
