Welcome to BreitlingSource. Visually the 23 looks identical to an ETA 7753 other than the Breitling rotor. |

Breitling uses the chronometer grade which has blued screws (chemical, not heat), perlage and cotes de Geneve decoration. |

It's too bad they either remove or buy the movement without the quick-date available on the 7753. I had to buy a winder that actually works just to avoid painfully setting the date every time I wear it. I was a bit surprised about the advice I received from a Breitling rep about how to quickly set the date. He said after you hit midnight and the date wheel turns, to rewind the hour hand until 7 and then back passed midnight. Any idea if this is actually a safe practice? |

It's the standard way to change the date on many watches without a quick set date - usually requires moving the time between about 9pm and 3am. If you don't want to buy a winder 30 seconds of winding via the crown each day that you don't wear it works just as well ![]() |
