Hi all,

New here having recently purchased my first Breitling.

Wasn't sure if the novelty would wear off shortly afterwards but am happy to report I absolutely love it! A little treat is when the rotor oscillates seemingly under its own steam shortly after my wrist becomes still. Feels like it has s life all of it's own! :D

I bought a Navitimer World White dial on brown buckle strap. The AD agreed to (along with a discount) throw in a blue strap which I think will suit with the blue 24 hr numbering. The brown suits well also but choice is a great thing. ;)

In future I'd like to purchase a deployant clasp, could anyone confirm the model number, or image of the one I'd require for an original strap which would also be purchased.

One might ask why I didn't push for the deployant style strap on the deal at the time of purchase. Unfortunately I wasn't aware of the differing clasps, buckles but can imagine the tang buckle wearing the strap fairly quickly.

Can/does anyone recommend a product to ensure the best life of the strap?
Apologies for all the questions!

Kind regards

Leon

Welcome to BreitlingSource.

No model numbers to deal with on deployants, you'll just need a 20mm deployant to go with the 24/20 strap - deployant style straps have no holes. Just be aware that deployants for leather are very different than the ones for rubber. Leather style here - http://www.breitlingsource.com/strap_fo ... yant.shtml, rubber here (with Ocean Racer, but clasp style is the same for all of them) - http://www.breitlingsource.com/strap_oceanracer.shtml.

I'm no aware of anything that you can do to reduce wear to the holes on a tang strap.

Many thanks for the heads up on which clasp is needed. :)

Regarding strap care I meant more prolonging the life of the whole of the strap.

Kind regards
Leon

Not much to do. Not a bad idea to use a product to keep the leather nourished and prevent it from drying out, but that's about it.
