Post subject:  Finally pulled the trigger
Woke up this morning and asked the wife if she wanted to go look at some watches. We ended up at the only Breitling dealer in town and they had a 2 black super avengers with steel and one white with red band. The wife fell in love with an omega deville and I don't know what got into her but she asked if I wanted the watch. I have been drooling over it for a while and she knew it. She pulled out the credit card and now I am the proud owner of a white super avenger. The AD swapped the red band for the steel for me and I am now a member of the Breitling family. Thanks for letting me share my story. No pics, ya'll now what it looks like.

Congrats and Welcome! Some pics would be great. Oh and if I were you I might contact the AD and ask them to sell you that red rubber strap as they have become very difficult to find ;)

Just check out the forums and read some of the threads and you'll see what I mean. If you don't want it, PM me the dealer contact info and I'll take it!

Yeah, I've read some things about that red band and was excited when I saw it but didn't really like it as much as I thought I would. I figured I would get the steel and would be happier in the long run. They put the red band on the black one but it looked bad so they were going to take it out. I'm going back monday to get a link taken out and will ask them about the band. I bought it from Russell Korman in Austin if anyone is interested in the strap. The sales woman thought I should have kept it in because it was rare and they were discontinuing it. I took a pic with my phone but it looks like hell so I'll see what I can come up with.

Great story! I think you will be very happy with the SS bracelet as the novelty of the red OR is soon to wear off.
