Hi everyone, I am Jason from California. I got my 1st Breitling from a celebrity who just bought the watch 2 weeks ago. He is the actor from CBS's Moonlight. Incredible guy, I did not know who he was when I meet him.

My 1st Breitling experience is a long one with many twist of unbelievable events.

Short version:

1. Went to buy a Breitling with two friends to purchase Breitling Chronomat Evolution. Friend Mike ended up with a Breitling (White Super Avenger), I ended up with none. The classic word he said was "I will take it" from the background after the saleslady brought out the watch from the back room. This was a classic and memorable moment for us three, mainly because he had no plan of buying a Breitling that day and he was standing nowhere near the watch. Hac already has a Breitling Super Avenger in black. It completely caught me and Hac by surprise. After I saw the Super Avenger, I decided to hunt for a black one.

2. Friend Mike, Hac, Garrie spent several days trying to help me get one. We called every AD in California. Visited several AD in person.

3. A watch collector Garrie found a brand new one for me. I stayed up all night excited and drove to pick up the watch. When we opened the box to inspect the watch at the shop, it was not the color I wanted. My heart sinked to the floor. I honestly don't know how to describe that feeling. It is almost like when you are about to have sex with your dream girl and she say no just prior to penetration.

4. Ended up getting my #2 color choice (Navy Blue) from a Celebrity in Bevely Hills, and picked it up in person. I did not recognized him at first. Alex is actually the main actor for the CBS's TV series "Moonlight". He is a real life nice guy. I always believe in the more you have the more modest and courteous you should be. He is a prime example. I even went to the AD where he made the purchased, they treated me well and adjusted the band for me at no charge. The watch was mint, price was fair. The original receipt shown purchase date of August, 4th 2008.

5. It was the experience which was "priceless" that will be forever in our memories and make all our time pieces more than just shiny metal on our wrist. It's more like a "band" of brothers now signifying what we went through, the laughs we had, and the satisfaction of one but more like satisfaction for ALL.

6. I will post pics of my Breitling soon.

Long version:

I am too exhausted to type, there were just so many twist and turns here and there not mentioned in the short version. Never the less, the hassle we had gone through during the search together.

 Great story!

I must say, you went down a bit of a "dangerous route" buying your second-favourite dial colour (it seems most of us on here hold out till the ends of the earth for exactly the right one!), but with all the trials and tribulations you've been through I guess it's a very special piece to you now.

Anyway, welcome aboard! :)

Good story! It's going to be hard to find a SA in SoCal in stock right now, unless you are willing to go with one with a diamond bezel.

Thanks for the story, it helps tie the pictures in the PM together :)
