Hello All,
I’ve just purchased my first nice watch, and I’m a little nervous. I found a used Duograph, World Cup of Aerobatics edition on the internet. It needs some work. The 12 hour hand is off by 25 or 30 minutes from the minute hand. The 24 hour hand is fine. Do you have any suggestions on where to have repairs made? I’ve read a few comments that Breitling can be very slow, as in months, and pretty expensive. Do any of you have a ballpark what that service would run? I’m assuming the Duograph has a pretty unique movement, so it will probably be more than other Breitlings.
I would also like to have a link added to the bracelet. I assume an AD is the only way to go for that.
The man I bought it from was very nice, and included the original receipt, the receipt for the Pilot band he picked up later, and the warrantee info, including one service record from 1998. The receipts are from the same dealer as the warrantee card, so things look in order to me, but I’m not an expert. I wish I would have found this forum before I bought it. There is some great information on authentication. I’ll be calling BUSA on Monday.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
