Hello all !
My name is Eddie, 29 years old, pharmacist, Breitling fan, located in Romania - a beautiful country !

My story begins 6 years ago when, being a student I was walking along a boulevard in Bucharest, with about 20 bucks in my pocket, looking at the windows at some beautiful watches ... I entered a Breitling AD and ask to see a model I found very nice ... the AD says to me full of petty "You know sir ... those are pretty expensive watches, the cheaper is about 3000 dollars..." I said to him "Well, ok I'll be back some other time, thank you" ... and I have made a promise to my self that one day I'll own a Breitling ...

And against all odds, a promise to yourself is the one that you must keep !

... the chance smiled at me in 2006 ... I brought my Chronomat longitude ! (not from infatuated AD of course) and I tell you that I love this watch and this brand !

I like watches, I like reading about watches and I dream that maybe I'll end up being a watchmaker ... who knows ...

All the best,
Eddie

Welcome to the Breitling Source forums Eddie! That's a pretty cool story. Its always a turn off when the people at the AD's judge you by the way you look, assuming that you can't afford their watches. I've never had that here when looking at Omegas and Breitlings and similar watches in that price range... maybe when I go to a Rolex dealer!

Not when you come to me to buy a Rolex, you won't be judged!
Cool story Eddie! And if you're really passionate about becoming a watchmaker... there are many watchmaking schools begging for students!
Good luck!

Vanessa

Thank you all for the warm welcome !
That's very encouraging Vanessa, but here in Romania we don't have much of a watchmaker school ... and for the moment Switzerland is not an option :)

Kind regards,
Eddie
