For me it started, about six months ago when my daughter (who worked in the “fine jewelry” department at the Exchange at Miramir) told me she wanted a TAG for graduation and that her mom and I should buy it. I told her, emphatically, there was NO way I'd ever spend a thousand dollars on a watch.

While Christmas shopping last year, I saw the TAG picture of Tiger Woods with the two-tone Link in a Mall and stopped by a store just to see how much it cost. I spent about a half hour at the store and began to appreciate that there was more to these watches than I imagined.

I then started studying the watches on fora and stumbled on Breitling and fell in love with the watches. In February, after the recommendation of a couple of folks on another forum, I took my wife to LA one Saturday in mid February to visit an AD. After 2 1/2 hours we left with a TAG Aquaracer for my daughter, a diamond two-tone diamond TAG Aquaracer for my wife and a SuperOcean for me—the later two to be put away until our anniversary on 3/2.

Finally I got the SO out of the box and I just love it.

Next a ChronoSomething -- I can't decide if I should get a CA a CSO or and Evo... I just might have to buy all three! Wait then there's the new Skyland....
But first I have to convince my CFO that I NEED more than one watch!

Jim

Oh yeah, GO REDWINGS!

Welcome to the forum Jim!

That's a great story, I wish my parents would just buy me a Tag Heuer if I asked them to!

Well, I though it was only "FAIR" since she was indirectly responsible for my introduction to better watches that she get one. Beside kids today KNOW what fair is.

I thought bringing my wife in would help get me one sooner rather than later.

Finally, buying three at once contributed, to a better deal and got me off to a good start establishing a relationship with an AD.
