hi guys,
im gonna buy my first breitling & was looking at he navitimer world silver dial with interest.my only concern is that the 46mm dial may be too loud for certain occasions, and what about the possibilty of large dials being out of fashion in the next 4-5 years? If any of u have wrist shots of that watch, that would be very helpful or just any feedback would be appreciated.

great site btw,

thanks

Large dials might very well go out of style in 4-5 years, but at least you'll have a nice watch for the next 4-5 years.. if they are out by then, just get a new one!

Welcome to the forums!

Hi, I agree with your concerns that very large watches are currently in vogue, and may very well go out of fashion in a few years. (For this reason I'm not a fan of the Super Avenger, as I've mentioned in other posts). However I do own a Navi World myself, and too be honest I went into the jewellers throughly expecting to walk out with a traditional Navitimer on my wrist. As it happens, the 46mm World just looked right on me. But then I'm 6'2" and have fairly large wrists.....

IMHO the World doesn't look like it is being large for large's sake. The dial is pretty busy (as Navi's are, which is part of why I like them!) so the larger size suits it quite well. Additionally the Navi case is quite slim-line when compared to the Aeromarine range, so once again it doesn't look like you have a refrigerator on your arm! As with all watches there is no substitute for going to a store and trying a few on.

But yeah I would DEFINITELY recommend a World! :)
