Hello Everyone -

I'm new to the forums (obviously) and just wanted to say I'm glad to be here and happy to finally be a Breitling owner. I've owned several Rolex's and a few other fun watches but as a pilot, I figured it was high time to buy a Breitling so I did. I just picked up a Black face Navitimer World with the black leather band and the deployment clasp from my local Breitling dealer in Minneapolis. It's just beautiful!

Don't mind me as I try to learn from all of you about the watches, about Breitling and all the other topics we'll discuss.

Thanks and I appreciate you're patience with a Breitling rookie.

- Peter

PS - How in the world can I get my hands on one of those great flight jackets I've seen out there? I would pay well for one of those!

Welcome to BreitlingSource.

While the jackets come up in the Buy / Sell / Trade section here occasionally, eBay is probably the best bet.

Hey thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I'll try and not be too much of a new guy but it looks like I've already succeeded by having my posted moved. 8)

Looking forward to learning more about Breitling and being part of the forum.

Thanks again guys! The Breitling's seem to be some kind of sickness. I can tell this is going to be trouble! :D

The Navi World really has hold of me and I'm already thinking about my next one. Someone stop me!

That, it is and be warned, it's uncurable. Welcome to BS Peter and enjoy your World. :)

BTW, what are you flying?

Thanks again everyone!

Tomcat - I own an RV-7 that I fly for fun and also fly various aircraft for wealthy owners that like to see their planes flown but aren't able to, or interested in, flying themselves. I'm lucky enough to be finishing the air-show season in a Staudacher S series for an owner in my home state. Next year who knows. It's strictly a weekend gig for me and have to keep a real job during the week to support my bad habits. (insert Breitling logo here) :D

Did you fly the 14D? That's some serious hardware!

:wowzers , I envy you. You mean like jets or props?

I wish I had flown the Tomcat but I'm not even American so.... (and not Iranian either  ).

No, it's my favorite fighter (have a look at pics of my flight jacket: http://www.breitlingsource.com/phpBB2/v ... 10&t=17786) and airplanes is an incurable sickness as Breitlings are.

Ah yes...flying can be all consuming. It sounds like you have the flight gene as well Tomcat. Very cool jacket by the way.

So you're a turbine driver flying transatlantic routes? I not smart enough for that type of flying. :? What equipment are you in now? ...just so I can dream a little.
