Great forum......very informative....in the market for my first Breitling........I have admired them for a number of years, and I am finally ready to purchase.

I have to admit being a bit turned off by the process so far.
A friend set me up with a local brick and mortar jeweler (not an AD) and I had a really bad experience. Quoted a good price for a Steelfish blue dial, dropped off a deposit, was waiting for a call to come pick it up, three weeks passed with no info and un-returned calls, was finally told that the watch had been discontinued and was now unavailable.
Started to think of different models and got the same run around....so just collected my $ and forgot about this guy.
Now I can not locate a blue Steelfish anywhere locally. Quite possible the three week delay really killed my chances of getting this timepiece.
I have really started to get attached to the Seawolf so started my search for that now, but a lot of local AD's seem to want retail or close.

Any advice from seasoned vets would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you are in the US, give Hamra Jewelers in Scottsdale, AZ a call. Another memebr here told me they had a couple in stock.

Welcome to BreitlingSource.

I think that BUSA is out of them now so if you are in the US definitely follow up on Sharkman's lead. Regardless of model I would recommend buying through an AD if at all possible, we have a couple of 'tame' US ones here.
