Hello, Breitling fans!

I'm a brand new Breitling fan currently on the market for a watch purchase, hoping for some sound advice. I'd love to buy my husband, a brand new pilot, a Breitling as a graduation gift. Do you have recommendations on models best equipped for pilots? Which features are must-haves?

Thank you in advance for your assistance!
Lauren

:welcome:

Enjoy your time here! And congratulations to your husband on getting his wings!

There's lots of pilot orientated watches in the Breitling range including the classic Navitimer, the Emergency (which has a distress beacon), the Chronospace and the Airwolf. You'll find supporters of all these models on here and I'm sure other models will also be suggested.

The Navitimer is the only automatic whereas the others are all quartz. The quartz models have LCD displays with more functions like UTC, alarms and countdown timers which could be useful. It's all down to personal preference.

Here's the pics.

Welcome to BreitlingSource.

The Navitimer is definitely the 'classic' pilot's watch, and if a mechanical watch is important then it's the obvious choice. Because it's a range of watches there are also choices of size and feature - and the new in house movements if that matters to you or your husband. Sharky has also identified the quartz models, but I would strongly suggest taking a trip to an AD and looking at the pieces 'in the metal' - you'll get a much better feel for the pieces (and the prices) and see which ones are a better fit for your husband.

Just remember that you never pay list price and we have two US ADs represented here who can help you out - contact jnelson3097 for contact details of Govbergs in PA and FEAR for contact details of Provident in FL.
