Post subject:  G'day from Australia!

Well, I have been luking here for a while and I thought I had better introduce myself! My name is Jamie and Im from Brisbane, Australia. love the forums and have been scouring through the newbie advice threads. They have helped out heaps, thanks for compiling them!!

I thought I would also share my first trip to my local Authorised Dealer! I might add that Im 29 so have only been looking at fine watches for a little while now and I cant stop! Im studying my masters at the moment and hope to finish at the end of the year so I think it would mark the occasion well to have a nice watch at the end of the turmoil.

I had always walked straight past the dealer, too shy to walk in to see the Breitlings let alone try one on. I figured that this time I should probably go in and at least try on a few to get a feel of what I am aiming to get. I tried to walk in with much confidence however, this only meant that I walked striaght into the glass security door not realising that it was buzzer entry!! Amature mistake! Apologising as I approached the storeman, I found myself in front of the bright yellow display case, agast with jaw dropped at the full suite of Beitlings. These days I dont wear a watch at all so when I tried on the Colt GMT I was surprised at the weight but when I put the Skyracer Raven Chrono on - WOW, thats a weighty piece! I found myself drawn to the Avenger Seawolf Chrono Blacksteel.... amazing watch in person and just stunning on the wrist. I probably spent about 20 minutes in there however I could have only been in there for 5, I think time may have stopped but thats probably impossible in a watch store!??!  I left with a beautiful catalogue to look at as motivation to finish study this year and a feeling of satisfaction you might get after visiting a gallery with beautiful art.

Anyway, I best be off now as Im starting to ramble!

Jamie

3) Allow outer door to close
4) Wait for buzzer
5) Open inner door
6) Step through
7) Buy several watches
