My wife and I got home from a cruise on 5 December. I bought a Colt GMT+ in Grand Turk for "rock bottom" price of $2860. I couldn't wait to get on the net to see how I did....

I've learned a bunch lurking right here ever since. I picked the Colt over others in the somewhat limited selection because I liked it and still do. Now, I want to complement my white dialed B with a black one, maybe in a Chronomat B01.

This forum is great! I just wish I'd done my homework before an impulse buy. dichamw posted his AAFES purchase after I'd already nearly pulled the trigger. Now I know how to get that extra 10% off!

BTW, I'm a quadriplegic [surfing, 1972] and really wanted a movement that didn't jerk the second hand, i.e. an automatic. It never occurred to me I might not move my wrist enough to keep it wound. I wear it at night and it would be off 4 or 5 hours when I got up. Now, I try to wiggle my wrist whenever I think of it, though it looks odd from a distance as I "wind" my watch while it rests in my lap.

Tom

Welcome to BreitlingSource and congrats on joining the clan.

If you find that your wrist movement is insufficient to maintain a wind I'm sure that your wife can assist with a manual wind every now and then. You can't overwind an automatic so no risks.
