Post subject:  Greetings from Canada

I have lurked around the site for some time, but never became a member until yesterday. I figured now was as good as a time as any. I am one of those guys who loves watches and who has always wanted to own a Breitling. Yes I said “always wanted”, implying I do not currently own one. Being a minister with a growing family makes such purchases a difficult endeavour. My dream Breitling is the Colt GMT. I know it is the entry level Breit, but it is still one nice looking time piece. It is also within the realm of achievability for me, especially when the kids are done with school ;). I do have a few cool pieces kicking around the house. I tend to go for historic and unique calibers. For example I have this old red faced Croton Chronomaster (don’t remember the caliber) which has the coolest sounding workings you have ever heard. It has this distinct “ping” after every tick. I believe it was manufactured sometime in the 70’s. However, my pride and joy is my 1962 Hamilton caliber 11. For those of you who may not know it is one of the first automatic chronographs to come on the market. It is a very cool watch, which just so happens to have the crown on the left side of the case. Please don’t laugh, but my kick around watch is a simple quartz Tissot. However, like I said earlier my dream is to get a nice Colt GMT with a black face. Hmmm… Well the Superocean Heritage is pretty sweet too. Maybe someday...Maybe someday.

Welcome, the colt gmt is a nice watch, hope you can own one soon.
And I think anyone would laugh for your tissot. We all own a quartz casio, seiko, citizen or other cheap watches.
I have a seiko and a citizen. And I love my seiko more than some of my breitlings.

On Georgian Bay west of Midland. Rural, but nearest community is Perkinsfield.

Oh well since this site is owned by a Canadian and one of the mods is a Canadian and a fair percentage of the members are Canadians - I suppose it's ok (even tho you guys bombed the Baldwins!!!).

Welcome to breitlingsource. There is a wealth of info and plenty of helpful people here. Be forwarned - if you spend much time here expect your sites to expand beyond the one Breitling. :lingsrock:
