Hi guys, Probably one of the younger guys here, approaching 21, but have always wanted a Breitling whenever I've seen them in a shop window. I'd just like to say this is a great forum with so much info, and hope to get my first real watch for my birthday! I'm open to suggestions, but I do have a small wrist - 6.5" diameter! Cheers |

![]() Enjoy your time here! With a 6.5" wrist, you should be fine up to 44/45mm which is pretty well everything except the Super Avenger and full size Bentleys. Be aware that 6.5" is about the limit for (standard) straps but you can resize a bracelet smaller. Since losing weight, I've a couple of straps which are now too big for my wrist, even on the smallest hole. |

Sup skinny wrist homes? Ha. My wrist is same as yours and the 44mm models are about my upper limit - except the SOH46 which works. Stell fish comes to mind for ya. Strap warning - after buying loads of regular length straps and poking extra holes in htem I discovered ther was such a thing as short straps (thanks FORMER AD). Since I've ordered loads of short straps. They are just right fro a 6&1/2. |

Welcome to BreitlingSource. Some good advice already, but you'll only really know when you go and strap some on and see which 'speaks' to you. |

Thanks everyone, Although I appreciate high quality worksmanship in other things, I'm a complete noob to watches, and as such wouldn't even know if I wanted a quartz or not and what the pros/cons would be re servicing etc, or anything about movements, watchwinders... so I'd love to learn about that. I'm glad that the strap size isn't going to be as much of an issue as I thought, thanks Sharkman! Basically I got hold of the catalogue and whittled it down in terms of dial sizes first and discounted those that were too big, and guessed around the 44/45 mark would be alright. I'm not a fan of non-chrono pieces like the SO II/Steelfish, especially when spending this much money, but perhaps I can be persuaded? But watches like the Airwolf Raven and Aerospace I do like as there is the additional functionality. I also don't think I can pull off the navitimer look (although I love the Cosmonaute Ltd Ed with Air Racer). Think this is partly because I think it's too flashy as I would like to wear it both in casual and formal situations, be it lectures, the weekend or work. Hopefully with a bit of knowledge about automatics/quartz/superquartz etc I can whittle it down more. Price will then be the final factor but a ballpark limit would be around the 3.5k (GBP) I'd imagine. Cheers |

![]() All I can say is good luck. I too have 6.5" wrists and have no issues with watches up to about 44mm-45mm in size. Enjoy checking it all out, that's a lot of the fun. |

Well, I don't know when it's going to arrive, but I will be acquiring a new Aerospace, black dial on black leather. I can't wait to get my hands on it as the one i tried on had the old dial and the AD said they would need to order one in from Switzerland! When was the dial changed to the one with the lines in the centre? I've started combing all aerospace threads for shots of the new style dial! |
