Hello all.....interesting site and forum, glad I found it as there seems to be a distinct lack of online info regarding B's.

Mostly Omega....but theres a B on the way.

Best regards David

Hi, I ordered an Aerospace from the states, its the B75 movement model which I have been hunting for, cannot stand the Avantage "chrome" numbers, looks like they are taking the Aerospace the way of the BreitBling models  , I prefer the understated Ti versions.

Mountnessing eh? I try to pass BY rather than through

Thanks for the welcome, I am looking forward to recieving my B soon and coming in here often enough to get moaned at by the 710 again!

Best regards David

Congrats on the Aerospace! I am a fan of the BreitBling watches.. not so much the Super Avenger as its so big on me, but really like the Chronomat Evolution for bling. My Diamond Bezel arrives today!

I have to agree with you on the Advantage though... it looked alright on display but when i tried it on my older Aerospace seemed to look better to me.

The Red Lion used to be a really good pub until they painted the inside pink...I think it's changed hands/colour a few times since...

On the Breitling site the Aerospace has a B79 movement - is this the same watch?

No, its the B75 superquartz...which I beleive is basically exactly the same as the B79.....although I am happy to be corrected, there is a distinct lack of online info out there concerning B's I have found

Same movement as in the Emergency.

Best regards David

As far as I can work out the aerospace since the B56 movement has been thermo-compensated but only certified as a chrono since the B75 movement, although there could have been a few stragglers of late B65 which were certified as well.....the B65 movement was the introduction of the "chiming" feature hence the "Repetition Minutes" on the dial at the introduction of that model, and the B79 the latest version with the "blingy" numbers has a backlight feature added hence the new movement code, otherwise the same.

I have been hunting around for the B75 version as I wanted a certified chrono version but hate the chrome numbers of the new AA, or I would have been straight down to my AD....but found a B75 now and hopefully will be here within a few weeks :D

Best regards David

I thought only the SuperQuartz movements were thermo-compensated? They are the ones from ETA's Thermoline movements... but I could be wrong.

This is where the waters become muddy....the ETA ref number for these movements appears to be the same....at least on the ETA site, there is no indication even that the B75 movement is thermoline as it is listed under the flatline list! I have read in other forums that the B65 was thermo-compensated, but upon asking no definate answer was forthcoming...as I said...very muddy! The section of the ETA site which would open the answer box is password protected....if you know of any other verified information regarding these movements I would be very grateful to find out please?

Best regards David

David, the information on the Quartz movements on my movement page in the main site was taken from ETA at some point by someone. Not sure where I got it anymore. Only the B75 movement and B79 are Thermolines according to what he got.

Well if thats correct it makes me feel even more smug as the Aerospace I just bought is a B75 version and I passed up a few B65 just because I prefer the dial figures :D

It is odd though because I understood to be COSC certified a quartz movement must have thrmo-compensation and of course there are thousands of B65 watches around with COSC certs! :?

Anyway I don't care anymore as I know mine is definately

Best regards David

BB,
Congrats - hope you get many years of enjoyment from the watch.

I'm in the same position - don't care for the glitzy look of the Avantage version and I'm seeking a source for a new B75.

Could you possibly let me know if your source has any more B75's - much appreciated

Gerry

Unfortunately the Aero's I sourced were not NOS (oh that they were  ) just the latest I could find for a reasonable cost, in fact thats how I came to buy two in the space of four days  well I could not decide which I preferred, the black Ti or the Grey Ti/Gold....

But having the two for a few days the black face won me over....the Hurricane pilot will be bailing out soon!

Best regards David
