Hello everyone. Name is Paul and I own only one Breitling...which one? good question..that's kind of what brought me here. My father gave me this watch years ago and I just kind of put it away and just rediscovered it when my brother asked to borrow it for a party he was going to. My father gave him a rolex but that didn't match what he was wearing... ![]() ![]() Anyhow...Can anyone tell me the best place to post a "what is this" thread? I have pics ready to go! Thanks all. |

Welcome. I'm in Grand Rapids, MI but I am in Chicago many many times a month. We should do a Chicago GTG! |

Welcome to BreitlingSource. As bnewbie says, just throw a picture up and we'll see what you have. If you put it in the wrong place I'll just move it ![]() |

I got it... Here it is. It has a different logo than the ones I've seen online. Older logo? Hopefully not a fake. ![]() I want to send it in someday to be tuned up. My dad wore this watch for a few years and he did everything in it. He even welded with it on...no gloves of course, so it has some love marks as you can see. I also want to get some more links to the band. It is a little tight. Any info would be great. Thanks all! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Wow that is a lot of info! Thanks guys. I never noticed before but after reading that other thread I saw that it is one of the numbered 500. I think it is #407 but it is hard to see and I can't find my magnifying glass... Can anyone tell me how much this cost when new? And what the approx value is today. Thanks again for the help. Paul |

Paul Not sure on cost when new. In terms of value today, a 'normal' Chronomat of this age would only be around $1,000 or so, but this will be a premium because of the unusual dial. Not sure how much of a premium as they are relatively rare to market. May be worth PMing txturbo and see if he is prepared to let you know how much he paid. |
