Hello to all, heres hoping you are all enjoying Christmas so far.
I love Breitling, and I quite like online forums too so it seemed a good idea to sign up here :)

Welcome aboard!
Do you own any Breiltings or are you contemplating that all important first purchase?

Hello D8, thanks for the warm welcome. I own a Montbrillant Legende (steel / steel / black dial) and a Blackbird. My son caught the bug too and his recent 21st combined with Christmas earned him a Colt GMT. Before then, I was a Tag type chap, but the Breitling pull was too great to resist :)
I'm down on the South Coast too btw, Bournemouth area.

And I'm pleased top hear your not a Tag type any more, as we South Coast guys are far to classy for that!!!!  I've actually owned 2 Tags myself in the past (an Aquagraph and an Aquaracer) but they just aren't a patch on Breitling IMHO. (All a bit "wide-boy" I think!)

Wide-boy watches ? Oh dear, all those years I've spent projecting the wrong image :D I've still got a soft spot for my Link chrono auto, but it just doesnt get worn much any more (unless I'm gardening / on the beach etc). TBH, I was about to buy another Tag when I finally got round to trying a Breitling on. It was a special moment, I really enjoyed the experience.

 Ha ha! Well, we are on a Breitling forum so you didn't expect me to say anything else did you?

No, Tags are OK for what they are, but IMO Breitlings are just that bit nicer. The finish is better on Breitling and the Tag range seems overly reliant on quartz movements these days which, as an auto fan, doesn't appeal to me hugely.

I'll second that - welcome to the 'buy another Breitling, and fast' forum !

As to being from the South coast, I once knew someone who's aunt had a friend who's daughter lost a small poodle named Wiffle somewhere near Climping - does that count?

Think I'll probably stop drinking soon...
