Hello Just like to say ' Hi ' and that I am new here. Looking forward to learning as much as I can from everyone. Recently I decided I would purchase another watch to go along with my one and only Omega Seamaster. I must admit I do not know much about watch brands. However, I have always liked the styling of Breitling. I am interested in the Super Avenger. What is the lug width of this watch? Is it possible to swap the bracelet for aftermarket straps? My profession takes me underwater. The waterproof rating on this watch is fine but has anyone had any experience with this watch leaking? Sorry this is such a lengthy post for a first. This will be my daily watch, want to be sure it will do the duties I require of it. Greatful, Colin |

The lug width is 24 mm, and you can use any strap that's 24 mm wide at the lugs. For changing straps, my favorite tool is the Bergeon 6767-F - you'll see plenty of threads here for that one. I have never had any problems at all with leakage, but I have just been snorkeling with mine, not going deeper than 5-6 meters. Obviously, you must stay away from using the pushers under water, otherwise you'll flood the watch. |

Welcome to BreitlingSource - I'm just going to take you on a little trip to the Introductions section. Aleister has given you good advice, and I wholeheartedly agree on the Bergeon 6767F tool. I don't recall any members reporting any problems with water penetration into an SA, but as aleister points out, avoiding use of the pushers underwater is key - as with the vast majority of diving chronos. |

It would be very cool to see some pictures of the watch - once you buy it - on your writs underwater in your job! |

Thank you all for the welcome. I should add that I am 6'1 and weigh 210lbs with a 7.5 - 7.75 ( approx ) wrist. How will this watch be on my wrist? Also, if there are any Canadians using this forum which Authorized Dealers do you prefer? Are there usually discounts given? Colin |

U-871 wrote: Also, if there are any Canadians using this forum which Authorized Dealers do you prefer? Are there usually discounts given? Colin I can give you a contact. PM me when you are ready to buy. Discount on an SA won't be as great as some models, but they'll look after you and other Canadian members here have already done successful deals through them. |

Hi Colin, I consider buying chronomat b01 or SA but SA has 1 limitation - it doesn't have b01 inside. But i like the watch very much - i had it on hand in my AD in Warsaw and it is fantastic. i saw it for 2300euro on chrono24.com. http://www.chrono24.com/pl/search/index ... results=24 Send please imagaes when you buy the watch. I've had my Omega Seamaster for over 7 years. I've swam with it in pools and salt water in Maui, Jamaica, Virgin Gorda, Cayman Islands, Destin, Florida and Cozumel. It has NEVER leaked. I bought my Breitling Super Avenger last year from an AD in St. Thomas. I've never taken it in salt water but did go swimming with it. Water spots appeared underneath the sapphire. Fortunately BUSA is fixing it free-of-charge. I love the watch and their customer service but personally I'd recommend an Omega for a dive watch. |
