Hey guys - just checking in. Located in Holly, MI. Originally from Cologne Germany, but have been living in the USA since 1996. 1996 is also the year I got my First Breitling - a '96 TransOcean. Just pruchased my 2nd Breitling yesterday - a '09 Emergency Pro II. Something I have been after forever...and decided to go for it. Below are some pix. I also have a few peanut watches, nothing special...about 6 different oakley watches and a few Festina's for day to day use and abuse but those will be all sold as I finally put my dream into reality. My other priced posession is a IWC GST Chronograph Automatic I received from my Dad as a gift. Brand new. Such a beautiful watch. Also pix below. Great site. Awesome Info! Looking forward to being part of this community and feeding my Breitling addiction. Cheers, Ollie ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Thanks for the warm welcome all. B0_1 wrote: Welcome to The Forum Breitlingsource Ollie, I also like Breitling and it is great to have a new member. Do you have plans to go back to Germany?` Alex HI Alex - at this point only for vacation. Might be back in Cologne later in September/October to visit my family and maybe pick up a Blackbird...but not sure yet. I'm looking to move back to Pittsburgh, PA within the next year, closer to my wife's family. |

Welcome! Love the IWC - that was quite the present. And of course, the Breitling's aren't bad either. ![]() You mentioned picking up a Blackbird when you visit back home. Do you find that get better prices there? Generally speaking, seems like most of our members across the pond find pricing to be better here in the States. |

Yeah the IWC was quiet a surprise. He wanted me to have it as a pass-me-down. I have only worn it a few times. Such a beauty. Well about the pricing, I do get a better price back home thru some connection. And since I do not live in Germany anymore (no residence), I should be able to get the TAX back when coming back to he USA (the whole duty free thing). I just need to make sure I file the right paper work. A buddy has done thig on a Rolex Daytona and it worked out. And my dad did the same thing with his AquaMariner. But that was a couple yrs ago...so I am not 100% sure if this will work anymore. Started my research on it. I will post the info when I find it. |

Thanks guys! I will try to take some better pix of everything. I also have an Omega from my Grandpa who passed away last year. I think it is a Omega Seamaster Titane 1982. Looks just like this: ![]() And my wife has an old hand-me-down Cartier Panther from my Dad as well as it was just sitting in his safe. Been having some issues with it as the date will not turn anymore...already had it repaired last year in Germany and it is starting again. Looks like this: Those 2 are definitely my most vintage. No Breitlings, but they mean quiet a lot to me and my wife. |
