Hello to the forum. I've lusted after Breitlings for years, just never managed to convince my wife how desperately I really needed one! Finally picked up a 1969 automatic Cosmonaute. Of course, now I'm shopping for a 2009 Cosmo!
I'm a watchmaker & collector. Right now I work on watches and clocks on a part time basis. I've been in and out of the industry as the demand for mechanical watches waxed and waned. My current day job is a software developer. Hope to retire soon and devote more time to the trade as it is what I really enjoy.
I have some complicated watches as well as a moderate collection of railroad pocket watches. I also collect antique clocks. I have several early American shelf & long case clocks along with a long case English clock that dates to 1725.
I'm also a private pilot with my own airplane. I fly rescued animals to new foster or adoptive homes when I have the free time. That explains my admiration of the Breitlings. They really are a pilot's watch.

This forum is great. I know there are a lot of fakes out there, I just didn't realize how many and how good some of them are until I got here.
