Hello all! I thought I should introduce myself since I have been lurking for a while. I'm nearing 30 years of age and am, as of yet, a watch virgin. If we a re talking about proper watches of course. =) I work as a consultant and the last year or so I have seen quite a few nice ones and have seriously started to think about getting one myself. I'm not really a fanatic or a collector, but I do enjoy heavy, mechanical things. =) The watch that got me interested in Breitling is the new Blackbird with the Pilot bracelet. It's a stunning piece and I really like the brushed version. I'm thinking about buying a used one since it will be my first one and I can't really be sure I'll get hooked. So any tips, especially from Euyrope and in particular, Sweden, would be greatly appreciated. What kind of price might one expect to pay for a good quality used Blackbird? What are the main things I should look out for when it comes to replicas? What ADs in Sweden come recommended from the users here (if there are any swedes here)? Anyway, the forum and the rest of the site has been very informative so far and I'm really hoping that I can lay my hand on a Blackbird before the year ends! Have a good day! /Jimmy |

first off welcome! secondly the blackbird may be a little harder to come by pre-owned just because well just because you dont see too many of them haha thirdly--I would really consider purchasing from an AD for your first time Breitling number one reason is because of the great experience you have when walking out with the watch knowing and having no question in your head that its COMPLETELY authentic. number two reason because AD's prices are becoming very close to any online site sometimes even beating them and even are getting close to used prices because of how the economy is. Trust me if it costs you a couple hundred more dollars to purchase from and AD whether the watch me new or used but still from the AD it will be well worth your hard earned money! |

I've had that tought too. And I'm thinking I'd grow quite fond of the watch and dislike that it has been fondled by other people. =) |
