Introduction Follow Up
I've just reviewed my original posts & thought I'd add a follow up after spending more time here & getting to know a number of people. Boy, am I naive! This is what I've learned..
1) THERE IS NO IDEAL WATCH. I listed my ideal as I started this journey & learned there are MANY styles I like. I just purchased a used Evo (haven't gotten it yet) & even before it goes on my wrist, there is another I like better. I think I'll always be searching for that next thing.
2) BUY THE PERSON NOT THE WATCH. That really says it all for me. There are many people here eager & willing to help and as you get to know them and learn from them you want to learn more. Their kindness, swift responses, & most of all patience helped open me up to possibilities I hadn't thought of before. In particular I wanted to say a special thank you to mserge, sharkman & Fear for exemplifying those qualities to me. There have been many more.
3) THIS FORUM IS A GREAT RESOURCE. The help, discussion, & gallery threads are great assets. If you've got a question, the answer is here, just look for it! In many cases there are even videos to help, including the one I viewed yesterday teaching me how to change bands on the watch I just have to buy a leather band for. You know, just to switch it up!
4) FINALLY, HAVE FUN. Don't take yourself too seriously! Refreshingly, most are here to have fun & enjoy their hobby! Thanks for letting me "sit in"!
