Hello everyone! I actually posted twice in the general discussion before realizing there is an introduction category. I have ben lingering through this and many other sites for a while now, and decided to join this message board. I have ben a watch enthusiast all my life. A few years ago I gought my first REAL watch, An automatic Tag. A month ago I tried on a Super Avenger. Enough said. I think we all had that moment when we just knew we HAD to own a Breitling.

I'm 90% certain I want an SA. The color scheme is still up for debate. I have learned a considerable amount from this site and has made my decisions easier. I will probobly save up and pay cash so I have more wiggle room for negotiations. I know to be patient, (but oh so hard) Thank god my wife has the credit cards.

Is 30% off retail a good rule of thumb? should I try for a better deal if I'm paying cash? Should I purchase out of state to avoid sales tax? I hear mixed reviews for authenticwatches.com and others so I probobly won't purchase through them, though they do seem to have the best prices.
