Hello my name is william and I have an addiction. I love watches. It all started with a Breitling I bought almost 40 years ago. I've tried to kick the habit but the only thing that seems to slow it down is a sports car I'm building.

I have a question in the vintage section about a watch I'm looking for but found this while hunting:
http://tinyurl.com/atd9no
Breitling Sexton Factory Model Number. B55045

I've never seen one but a search here shows some threads about other watches. my uneducated guess is that it's not 'popular' enough to be a fake yet but .... I've asked for real pictures and not the one lifted from some website, something with a recent newspaper in it or somesuch.

I'm not willing to go 12 for it but 7ish wouldn't be out of the question, sooooo. Does this look ligit??

Thanks

Welcome to the forums and sounds like there's a question waiting for me in Vintage :D

The Sextant is real, but it is a quartz watch - not sure if you are aware of that.

 No, I tried to snipe it but I cut it to close <argh>

There is another one that I have a bid on (and a retuned sniper for that last little umph if I need it) we'll see if I get that. Only problem is that I found the image used on another website, with an earlier date.

I'll see if he can send me some photos with a current newspaper in the photo. (the other one did do that and that was one sweet, clean looking watch, dang)

I also decided to get something more contemporary from lum-tec.com (M9) when it comes out later this summer.
