Hello all,
My name is Nick, and I am a huge luxury watch enthusiast. I got my first luxury watch back in 2000, which is a Rolex datejust. Beautiful gift from my grandfather who purchased it in Switzerland while on a European tour.
A couple years later I became interested in Breitlings. Looking at pictures and doing much research on various models became an everyday occurrence. My Breitling interest soon became pretty much an obsession. This past summer I graduated university and achieved all my pilot licenses and ratings. It's very hard to get a pilot job in today's economy, unfortunately, but after all that hard work I decided to reward myself.
Last week I purchased my first Breitling. The Blackbird. Beautiful timepiece!
I've always known about breitlingsource.com and visited often, but never registered or read what's going on in the forums. I'm finally registered and can't stop reading all the vital and informative forum posts! It's great that there's a site designed for fellow Breitling enthusiasts who share the passion. I hope I can share information with people just as I gather it from many "lings" on here (getting used to the slang!)
This watch thing really is addictive, I'm happy with my Blackbird, but already want to add to the collection. Well not really a collection yet, only the Rolex and this Blackbird, but I'm just getting started!
Anyway, I thought I'd introduce myself, and I'd like to thank everyone beforehand for all the information available on this site! Nothing like it!

Welcome aboard indeed! You're definitely in the right place to start a Breitling collection! :thumbsup:

By the way, it's good to see you put the word "Ling" in quotes, as I think I'm one of the only people on here who, even after nearly 3000 posts, STILL refuses to call any fine Breitling timepiece a "Ling"! :wink: Sir, I salute you!
