Been reading here for a little while, finally broke down and joined and thought I'd introduce myself.

When I first started getting interested in fine watches, my first choice was a Breitling. My first exposure to Breitling was my father's Navitimer, but I thought it's face was too busy for my taste. After exploring Breitling's other models, I found one that was perfect for me, an Aerospace (titanium, brown leather strap). That was in 1995.

The watch came with a Breitling hat, but I've never worn it outside. Being 6 feet, 6 inches tall, I generally don't need to attract more attention to myself by wearing a bright yellow cap.

Since that time, I've acquired two Tags, two Movados, a Tissot, two Tiffany's, and a host of other lesser brands. I've had to have my Breitling overhauled once, about four years ago, and I'm thinking it's time to come back to Breitling for my next acquisition. On my short list is a Chronomat (white face, white subdials, bracelet).

I was born and raised in NYC, and work across the street from the Tourneau Time Machine, which makes perusing watches easy, but makes my WAS (watch acquisition syndrome) flare up.

One weird fact about me (amongst many)...I'm right-handed, but wear my watch on my right wrist. This leads to bracelet clasps becoming quite scuffed. I guess I put my first watch on the wrong wrist, no one ever corrected it, and now I'm too old and set in my ways to change.

Right handed right wrist watch wearer  YOU FREAK!!!

Seriously, welcome to the gang and a chronomat would be a nice contrast to the Aerospace. We'll also help you get rid of some of those non Breitlings

Welcome. That's a fine Aerospace you have there. I like the brown leather strap combo.

I know exactly what you mean about the hat, I am 6' 5" and my hat still sits in the box it came in. I would have rather had a nice pen or something?
