Hi everyone. Great to see so many other Breitling fans out there! And it's also good to see a site that provides info about practically every model from recent years - something that the seems to be sadly lacking elsewhere.

Anyway I'm new to this forum but I've been a big Breitling fan for about the last 10 years. I owned a secondhand Chronomat initially, then part-ex'd that for a Superocean around 1999, then after a brief daliance with a couple of Omega Seamasters, I bought a first generation Superocean Steelfish (the 1500m one) around 2004. I owned that until pretty recently when a shiny new Navitimer World got the better of me  , but then I also found I REALLY missed the Steelfish, so about a week ago I racked up the credit card a bit more and bought the current Steelfish (the 2000m) as well. It actually sits much nicer on my wrist than the old one so I am super happy! (Not told the misses about the purchase though! )

Congrats on the new Steelfish! I just recently picked up another Steelfish and sold my first generation steelfish as well. I liked both watches and actually had trouble deciding which one I wanted to sell!

Welcome!

Thanks! :) Yeah both Steelfishes are great, but I do much prefer the newer 2000m version. For me at least it just seems to sit better on the wrist. It's everything a divers watch should be, and more. I've got a Rolex Submariner as well, and to be honest there is just no comparision between that and the Superocean. Sure the Rolex has a great movement and it's very well engineered (904L steel and all that), but the bracelet and ESPECIALLY the clasp is an absolute joke for something costing £3k. Even Tag make better clasps than Rolex IMHO and that's saying something!

So yeah, apart from not making their own movements from scratch, I personally think that Breitling are making some of the best watches in the world.... especially for the money.

I don't know a whole lot about Rolexes but from a style standpoint they are not what I like... No other watch brand seems to hold my interest the way Breitling can!
