Hi Everyone,
I've been lurking around this site for months now.

I bought my first Breitling 6 or 7 years ago. It was a pawn shop find with all the boxes and papers and reciept from the local AD at the time. At the time I knew Breitling was a good name, but really didn't know that much about the brand. It is a Colt Ocean. Why isn't this model listed in the Model's section of this website? The Chrono version is.

Years later now, watches have got bigger and I'm now in a better position to pick up a nice piece. I have narrowed down what I want to four, but it is all over the spectrum 'Lings. My next watch will be a BlackBird, NavMontOlymypus Moonphase, Skyland, or Nav World. We'll see what turns up. I'm into buying used and not paying new retail.

Niced to see enthusiasts from all over the world here, and quite a few from Canada (I'm in Cambridge/Ontario).

It seems the more I read about 'Lings the more I realize I don't know the nomenclature. There certainly no shortage of the details and nuances around the breitling models. This seems like the best site to learn.

Darren

Welcome to BreitlingSource!

The Colt Oceane, Colt Oceane SQ and Colt Oceane II are all in the models section:

Good to see another Ontarian here - had a meeting in Kitchener a couple of weeks ago and then a lunch meeting at the Golden Kiwi in Cambridge!

Ahhh...you are very local. Golden Kiwi is a good place. I haven't been there in a while.
Is our only choice of new watchs around here LaSwiss and that little shop in Guelph?

Mine isn't any of these.
Mine is a Colt Ocean (not Oceane).
The closest thing to it is the Colt Oceane of links you provided but mine is 36mm in diameter (measuring just the bezel) has numbers on the even hours 2-4-6..etc, and a date window at 3pm and has a white face.

Here is a pic I found...

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one.

La Swiss is about the only option, but when you want another PM me. I have a tame AD who is rather better than the standard La Swiss disappointment.
