Hi all!

So I finally got myself a Breitling two days ago.

I've always been keen on getting myself a really nice watch and having watched James Bond (probably a bit more often than is healthy?) over the last couple of years, I had been hankering after a PO.

Went to a couple of dealers and in the metal it just didn't grab me like a £3,500 watch should. So I dilly-dallied until I stumbled across this forum and fell head over heels in love...

I must say a big thankyou to all who contribute to this incredibly friendly, knowlegeable and informative forum. Quietly reading your comments and learning of your experiences over the last few months made the decision to spend a not unreasonable amount of hard-earned cash on a watch much easier.

So here I am, the proud owner of a 2007 Emergency. The colour? Yellow. :D

I was fortunate to find a really nice guy selling one and picked it up with a Pro 2, a UTC on a Pro1 and a rubber strap. Can't see myself wearing the UTC, but its nice to have for the future or if I fancy a change.

So that's my little story. Thanks again to all for their help and I look forward to spending more time around the place as a member of the club.

Best regards,

David.

BTW will post some pics over the weekend if anybody is interested.

Many congrats on the pick up, especially with a matching UTC! Those are highly sought after these days so if I was you I'd give it a try on the watch before discounting it.

Oh and welcome to Breitlingsource as well!

Well I bought it without trying it on, so I stumped up for the utc with half an eye on making it easier to sell if it didn't suit.

Glad to say that's not a problem, so as soon as my strap tool turns up I'll try the bracelets on it.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Sorry for the delay chaps, but here's a few that I took of the new arrival.

Further apologies for the quality of photos. First time and all that...

I've found so far that the rubber strap is my favourite. Despite being the cheapest option, I reckon its nice and sporty and the black strap really makes the dial stand out. I'm surprised to say the UTC is my next fave (as I find the Pro 2 just a little plain) but will probably reserve that for bigger evenings out.

Overall, I'm a very happy camper. :D

Have to agree that the Diver Pro strap looks the best!

Wear it well!
