Hello to all! I am new to vintage watches but I saw a beautifull watch a few days ago on chrono24 and I am tempted to buy it.

https://www.chrono24.it/breitling/premi ... 132677.htm

It is a Breitling Premier Vintage 788 in rose gold from a verified dealer. But I nontheless have few concerns:

- the crown is unsigned - a saw few of this watches with a signed crown but all in steel and I also saw a few watches with an unsigned crown so I am a little bit confused
- the dial seems perfect that's why I am afraid it has been refurbished some time ago
- I love the rose colour of the case but I would have to care a lot more compared to the steel version

What do you think of this watch?

Thank you! Have a good day!

Hi, the seller told me that the crown has been replaced and that is not a Breitling crown. How can this affect the price and collectability of this watch? Considering the crown not being original is 4000 € to much for this watch? Thank you!

Not a huge deal. you might find a replacement eventually, but in 18K you might be waiting a while to be fair.

as said, crowns were unsigned and routinely replaced during service; there were no "solid 18k" crowns, Dave?

Have seen them, but perhaps not of that era. but in any case I didn’t mean signed, but can see i implied that. Just commenting the crown doesn’t match in tone of the case and you could fine a vintage replacement. Most are plated and not 18k.
