Hi, Good to know the watch was properly used and serviced. i have some promotional info for the early 769’s. More common was leather straps, but there is also an image with a metal grain strap. So up to you what you prefer. Enjoy the watch. Image

Hello again folks! So i have been trying to get the watch working ,but it seems as if there is maybe too much work for the people I have asked. I know the watch has history and I would like to keep it as original (including redial!)as possible, but I was wondering if there might be someone on the forum who would have a spare movement that is the same as this one. I have a friend who would be willing to look at it as long as he had spare parts available at hand.
The watch runs with the chrono off, but the chronograph stops the watch after a minute. From what I can tell this is caused by the minute recording runner, which does not rotate correctly and lacks freedom. Its arbour looks like it is broken, and the minute recorder hand is not pressed on the arbour, so someone clearly had an issue here in the past.
The movement looks very much like a Venus 175, but does have some subtle differences. This was from the first guy who looked at it.
Issues with the pinion, said another

This is why I think a movement at hand would help. I'm not going to be selling the watch, so I just want it running again. As always,I appreciate any suggestions from the experts. Cheers
Gary
