Hello,

Can somebody please comment on this Breitling 711. Can’t find much information about this particular monopusher. To my eyes looks fine.

Thanks

In my opinion that watch is a fake. The numbers other than the 711 make no sense when it comes to a vintage Breitling. The 'Breitling' on the movement bridge has been added and isn't original along with the Breitling inscribed on the case back. The big issue is that the case is much larger and the wrong shape as pictured in Richter's guide. The 711 I had a few years ago was a tiny watch measuring about 30mm and I had it on a Bund strap to give it a little more presence on the wrist. The movements were used by a number of different brand names and they were all very small watches so not that rare. I don't remember the movement type but I think a Venus 196.

711-15 is a correct reference, appears until the 1946 catalog, serial number checks out correctly in the ledger. movement marking is early, but could well be correct.

Inside the caseback it says: stainless steel back.
So either the caseback is incorrect or the watch case

no, this is a chromed case, of course it says "stainless steel back" ;)
rare bird, but correct; serial checks out in the ledger as "ref. 711, produced 29.11.1944, Stila SA, chrome, fd. acier"

here's the ref 711 in the 1946 catalog, note there were several versions, but all using the "seconds chrono" 12" Venus caliber, op watch is a 711 15 Extra Plat:

One more question about case. As we know it’s chromed one, somehow it doesn’t shows any wear-and-tear. Could be re-chromed?
